Club Nights and Championships |
CLUB NIGHTS
During the summer season, Club Nights are held each Thursday night. These are fun nights where swimmers only compete against the clock. At Time Trials swimmers can assess their own overall progress and try to practice new/old events. They are an ideal way to introduce swimmers to competition and also give them the opportunity to meet and socialise with other members of the club. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Club Championships are a combination of events completed over a number of club nights at the end of the summer season – similar to a grand final in other sporting codes. Other separate Club Championship events are swum during the season, including 200m, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, 1500m Freestyle. If swimmers choose to participate in Club Championship events, they vie for end of season trophies, with results and presentations announced at the end of season breakup.
